The Adamawa State Government has approved the allocation of land to the Federal Ministry of Aviation for the construction of a new airstrip in Mubi, strengthening aviation infrastructure in the northern part of the state.
The Secretary to the State Government, Auwal Tukur, confirmed the development while briefing Government House correspondents after a meeting with a delegation from the ministry that visited the area for an on-the-spot assessment.

He explained that although an airstrip previously existed in Mubi, it had been encroached upon, making it impractical for immediate use. As a result, the state government approved fresh land allocation to ensure the project proceeds without delay.
The move aligns with the infrastructure drive of Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri’s administration aimed at improving connectivity, boosting economic activity, and enhancing strategic access across Adamawa State.
